Who We Are
United Bethel Mennonite Church is a welcoming, Gospel-centered, Holy Spirit-led congregation dedicated to worshipping God and inviting everyone to experience His love. From our humble beginnings in the 1940s worshiping in homes and a “basement church” to our present facility, our emphasis has been on embracing and celebrating God’s Word.
What We Believe
We accept the Scriptures as the inspired, authoritative Word of God, and we do our best to follow what the first readers of the Holy Scriptures would have understood them to mean. We trust the Holy Spirit as the infallible Guide to lead people to faith in Christ and to guide them in a life of Christian discipleship.
We hold to the 1963 Confession of Faith adopted by the Mennonite General Conference.
What We Do
United Bethel is part of a broad mission to proclaim the Kingdom of God, making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that Jesus commanded. (Matthew 28:19-20).
We believe this mission is for your good, and we have a deep desire to see you and everyone we meet flourish. The truly flourishing, purposeful life pictured in Jesus’ teaching in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) is more than just words though. We try to live His message as a life-giving guide for loving and interacting with everyone we meet, every single day.
Whether or not you are part of our congregation, we would love for you to know Jesus and become a passionate follower of His. We are intentional about creating an environment that fosters your spiritual growth by prioritizing discipleship, prayer, outreach, and compassion ministry. We also engage in and support other initiatives that bring light and life to people both near and far.
We think that life is better when we do it together. That’s why we’ve created house fellowships—small groups of church members who meet in homes twice a month. It’s a great space to build lasting friendships, share in prayer, be accountable to practice what you preach, and truly feel like you belong.
Our Leadership
The church is led by our senior pastor Wendell Gingerich, assistant pastor Doran Gingerich, and several elders.
